Personality: Quite a bit off. Clever and brilliant, but at the same time quirky, strange, and rather insane -- but he's gotten better about it. Possessive about what he enjoys. Does not believe in keeping secrets, despises people who lie. In general, he does not like women; he's something of a misogynist in most cases, considering his history. Absolutely fears and loathes dogs and cats -- but mostly dogs. Does like children.
Background: The moment Walter was born, he was abandoned in a room at South Ashfield Heights -- room 302. His parents left him immediately, packing their things and fleeing into the night. Fortunately, he was discovered by Frank Sunderland, or else Walter would have died. He was passed to the hospital nearby, St. Jerome's, and shortly after taken into Silent Hill's orphanage: Wish House. It would be there that the boy would be brainwashed, beaten, and abused into the beliefs of the Order, the cult that existed in Silent Hill. Told that his mother was waiting for him in 302, Walter began to believe that room 302 was his mother. Wanting nothing else but to be loved by his mother, he became obsessed. It wasn't until the spirit of Valtiel was placed into him at the age of 24 that he began the perform the 21 Sacraments -- to kill 21 people and "wake up" his mother. He was caught after ten sacraments were completed -- and killed himself in prison as number eleven. Thereafter, he continued on, now immortal after his own ceremony. It came down to the last two: number 20, the Mother Reborn, Eileen Galvin. Number 21, the Receiver of Wisdom, Henry Townsend. Before these two lives were ended, this is when Walter is taken into the mansion -- Wonderland.
